Nooran Sisters earned worldwide popularity right after the release of song “Pathaka Ghuddi” composed by legendary composer A.R. Rahman. Jyoti and Sultana Nooran were trained in Sufi music by their father Ustad Gulshan Mir. Following the tradition of Sham Chaurasi Gharana and Mirasi, Nooran Sisters quickly catapulted into success by staying close to their roots. An initiative of Sun Foundation; ‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ is a celebration of sheer musical brilliance where myriads of folk artistes from home and abroad perform on a single platform.
