Reports have emerged that employees of Amazon have access to the addresses and phone numbers of individual users of “Alexa,” Amazon’s popular virtual assistant. The company did not deny the revelations but sought to downplay them, saying they routinely “audit and limit” employees’ access to sensitive information.
