fewer than 100 futuro houses were built during the late 1960s and early 1970s, while there are approximately 63 original ones in existence across the world right now. christchurch was the production location for ‘futuro homes ltd’ in new zealand, where only 12 units were built for the entire country in the early 1970’s, including two prototypes produced for the 1974 commonwealth games. this particular futuro house is one of the less than ten remaining in the country, and it’s currently for sale to the highest bidder via futuro christchurch new zealand.
