    Shikari Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh at a distance of 16 k.m. from Jhinjheli village in district Mandi

    The devotees of the temple tried to construct the temple roof but could not succeed in their endeavour.The goddess then instructed the Brahmin of the temple not to allow any person to construct the roof of the temple.

    The roofless temple of Shikari Devi has the idols of Goddess Durga sitting on a lion,Goddess Kali, 64 yogini and demi hero (Kamarunag Devta). There are some other images of local gods sitting behind the image of Goddess Durga in this temple premises. Goddess Durga in this area is popularly known as “Shikari Devi”.
