Should genetically engineered food be labeled as such? This is a question that voters in California will have to decide on. In the meantime, though, statistics show that 88% of all corn and 94% of soybeans produced in the US last year grown out from GE seeds. So is it a little bit too late, especially since the costs of regulating the labeling are estimated to be between a few hundred thousand to one million dollars annually?.
