South Korea's former President Park Geun-hye has been sentenced to 24 years in jail and ordered to pay millions of dollars in fines.
Park was found guilty on 16 of 18 charges of abuse of power, bribery and coercion for her part in a massive corruption scandal.
Al Jazeera's Kathy Novak reports from Seoul.
