Shia units are pressing ahead with their assault on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group in Iraq’s Anbar province. Since the operation began on Tuesday, sporadic clashes have broken out as both sides prepare for the battle for Ramadi. The Iraqi security forces’ tactics including taking the roads into town and villages held by ISIL, then use shelling to target the group and cut off the main supply lines. Once the towns the villages are secured, then the push to Ramadi will begin.Al Jazeera’s Imran Khan reports from Baghdad.
