Thousands of people took to the streets of the Jordanian capital Amman on Friday to protest against the ongoing Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip.
The demonstraters called for the Jordanian government to annul the country's peace treaty with Israel.
"Don't retreat Hamas, we're behind you," said Samia Ali, a protester in Amman.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrations gripped several countries on Friday. Around 1,500 protesters marched to the offices of Fox News Corporation and CNN in New York City, Friday, to demonstrate against what they see as the mainstream media's strong pro-Israel bias. Meanwhile, pro-Israeli protesters staged a counter-demonstration across the street. Hundreds of people protested against Israel's military incursion into Gaza outside the Israeli embassy in Lisbon, while pro-Gaza protesters took to the streets of London and Berlin.
