The fires have finally been put out in the Canadian freight train disaster but around forty people are still missing.
At least five locals died when a runaway train with its cars packed with crude oil, derailed and blew up.
At least five people have been killed after a runaway train carrying crude oil derailed and exploded in the Canadian town of Lac-Megantic.
Around 40 people are still missing after the explosion which destroyed much of the town's centre and about 2,000 people have been evacuated from their homes.
Four tanker cars of petroleum exploded in the east Canadian province of Quebec after a train derailed, leaving flames billowing hundreds of feet into the sky. Some 30 buildings were destroyed and 1,000 evacuated from homes. Local radio reports 60 missing.
